Volunteer Opportunities

Paws, People, Purpose

If you’d like to help support Whisker Junction, we invite you to register as a volunteer. Registered volunteers receive important updates, news, and information about current needs so we can stay connected with you. Email is our primary way of communicating with volunteers, and registration only takes a few minutes to complete.

All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer waiver. You may complete, sign and submit for our staff to review. We make everything easy to fill online.

Volunteer Interests

Facility Support - assisting with renovations, painting, cleaning, maintenance, moving equipment

Fundraising - help plan fundraisers and staff official events

From home: Grant writing - previous experience very helpful

From home: Donation requests calling and emailing

Cat Care - socialization, brushing, checking on them, scooping litterpans, cleaning

Photography - must have DSLR, experience with animal photography, patience, and be able to get the photos back to us via email within 24 hours

Education Team - help share animal welfare information to kids and adults in the community

Please Note: Checking an interest does NOT indicate that you will automatically be assigned to that job. We will let you know when new opportunities and openings are available for the jobs in which you check, please understand that some needs are more urgent than others as we begin to construct our facility.

IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to volunteer with Whisker Junction, and for other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the UNDERSIGNED hereby agrees as follows:

The UNDERSIGNED RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES, AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE Whisker Junction, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers (collectively referred to as the “Releasees”) from any and all liability to the undersigned, his or her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any loss, damage, claim, or demand that may arise from personal injury or property damage, including but not limited to:

Injuries or damages caused by any animal associated with Whisker Junction, including but not limited to bites or scratches, acknowledging that animal behavior is inherently unpredictable;
Injuries or damages sustained while present at any Whisker Junction facility;
Injuries or damages sustained while participating in or attending any Whisker Junction event; whether such injury or damage is caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

The UNDERSIGNED EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGES AND ASSUMES ALL RISKS of injury or property damage arising from participation in Whisker Junction activities, including those risks associated with animals, facilities, and events as described above, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

The UNDERSIGNED ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY HAS BEEN READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNED, with full knowledge of its legal significance.
